Even that term implied a bias I think is unwarranted. I know lots of people like me that have aligned themselves at times with the Democratic Party that abhor the abuses of labor unions. I also know a lot of Democrats these days that are fed up with illegal immigration and tired as hell of Mexican cultural bullying.
The problem comes, when choosing a political party, which segments of the platform outweigh the other party's segments. That's a hard choice Tom for every American and you've always insinuated the choice pushed people into the slide all the way to the polar extremes.
There's much in the conservative philosophy that appeals to me but the Republican Party's execution of that stated core platform has been abysmal except in the areas that I've disagreed with such as abortion, gun control, and the war on drugs. Boy, do they tow the line on those idiotic causes as the national debt spirals us into bankruptcy and personal responsibility is enforced only for the have-nots.
Right now the vast majority of the top Republicans are completely and utterly fraudulent and often borderline criminal in their message and you are misrepresenting your record that you often confront them on that. I will agree that on select issues you do stand up to the party but were we to put that into a percentage of posts it'd be low single figures.
