Hi Jeff

Good on your Club - an observatory is a fantastic project.

My old Astronomy Club president, Jim Barclay, built the Maidenwell Astronomical Observatory a few hundred kays north of Brisbane here in Australia. He moved, over the years, to wherever the night-glow from civilisation was least - he had a long dispute with a neighbour over an external light that messed up his first Observatory's viewing.
