Looks like liquid, perhaps water. Landsat imagery (while much worse resolution) show the same characteristic pitch black for small lake. In addition, the contrast stretched image show "noise" uniformly around the "shoreline". If it were just random noise, it should be uniformly distributed. In addition, the "north" shoreline looks like there are some shallows.
