What means "aging" for those spacecrafts?
Everybody said that Mir was 15 years old when it went down...but only the core module was that old, 5 other modules were younger or much younger.
The shuttles have various parts being replaced, some after every flight, some after several, some after 5 years or some..never.
It's all a matter of engineers knowing the various systems.
