Look at the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, one shot and into a museum they went. Now with the Shuttle design pushing 35 years and first drop tests done in 1977, some of these parts were designed and built in late 70's and early 80's. How many cycles can thesetanksendure before going pffffft? Prudent thinking in restrciting acess to orbiters while on pad in pre-launch configuration and let's keep the fingers crossed.
