Could ISS be used as a "space hotel"?
The Russians have already defrayed some of the costs of their missions by having space tourists. Could someone like Bigelow add an inflatable "space hotel" to the ISS to exponentially expand ISS tourism? What could be charged for a multimonth stay at the ISS hotel habitat? I saw where NASA is looking to open up the ISS to commercial use. Could NASA relax its rhetoric towards the tourism issue and support such a space hotel? I would think some commercial companies have already studied this issue some, but may have been daunted by NASA red tape and reluctance to think outside the box. Has anyone out there explored this issue or seen studies that others have done?
