Some factors that should be considered-

Number of autos/trucks. While Chinese auto ownership is growing, how does it compare to the US? Also Chinese autos are built to 1980 emission standards.

So, is pollution coming from the people/per capita- or is it coming from industry and agriculture (slash burning).

CO2 is not an area of interest for me but statistics and how they are presented is always interesting.
