If our concern is the impact of human activity on the atmosphere, is per capita really useful? Look, I'm not trying to make excuses for the US, we're a *terrible* polluter, but I just don't see how making excuses for China is helpful...or in fact, honest. X units of pollution will have the same effect on the environment, regardless of whether it was generated by 10 people or a thousand, won't it?
