They'd get corrupted soon. Money,(graft) perks, threats to their families...the usual stuff. Eventually they'd set them up and get them on something, but if enough new seats could be injected into Congress, we just MIGHT be able to get the good things rolling again.
I think our whole system is corrupt.
There is SOME movement towards holding the guilty accountable, but it it is taking much too long, otherwise Rumsfeld, Cheney, Gonzales and GWB would be toast by now.
