The planet is not in danger. At worst, a lot of humans are in danger. Not all but perhaps a lot.

I have no objection to doing what we can, but imo what we can do will not stop global warming or even slow it down that much. If I agree that we contribute to GW surely you do not insist that we are the sole cause or even the major contributor. Furthermore, you surely can't believe that GW, as agreed on by the mainstream, threatens our existence.

I am not out campaigning against environmental treaties and I suspect those that are needed will eventually be put into effect. Willingness to sign Kyoto would not, by itself, prevent me from voting for a candidate.

I do object to our country being singled out to bear the heaviest burden while polluters like China are off the hook.
