This has nothing to do with my feelings for Bush or my political beliefs, so don’t even go there. You are reading too far in this.

Had James Brown posted a story, as Lindy said, about Cindy Sheehan getting arrested yesterday for calling for his Bush’s impeachment, then I would call that a Current Event. And I have no problems with that.

It has been my understanding that the initial Current Event post needs to be about a current event news story. Isn’t that the purpose of the board.

As far as the thread that develops from that post, that is where people’s opinions come to play, but the story post that sparks it is based on a new story (Current Event).

If my understanding is wrong, please correct me.
