This is the first fatality of a test stand in many years of rocket testing by multiple companies in Mojave, including one I work with (not the one that had the accident).
As for your cartoon opinion of company owners, I'd buy a ticket to see you stand in front of Rutan's employees and bad-mouth him. Engineers would crawl over broken glass to work there.
