Inserting pdf's directly would be nice. Usually my large format scans are inserted as two color tiffs because I can change their color via the layer control. And they are transparent. But huge. I'd be nice if you could import the pdf not just as a raster, but bring in layers as well.

I'm still on 2000, but I'm going to change that this year. Therefore most of my wish list may have already been covered in the latest version (or are due to my ignorance of ACAD).

fade / transparency of solid hatching
re-ordering of paperspace tabs
More options in standard viewport scales
Nested layer display allowing for group freeze, off, color, etc.
To delete layers with objects.
Easy print rendering of shading from paperspace.
Floating text (always facing view direction)
A regen button

Those are just a few off the top of my head.
