Unfortunately, overpasses too should be checked. There have been overpass construction accidents and as Lindy said below, our sewer systems need overhauling.
I just spoke to a friend of mine in Minneapolis who lives in a suburb of the city and thank goodness she and hers are fine, but I feel for those that have gone under such circumstances. She said that most are undoubedtly still trapped in their vehicles according to the latest diving findings, but the currents and murky waters have made recovery attempts futile.
Most Minnesota residents are still shocked at what happened. The Twin Cities have a good reputation for keeping up to date on just about everything. She said, we'll know more on the specifics after a thorough investigation.
I loved Minnesota, I just couldn't drive through it during the winter.
