Ran for ten years from 1998 to 2008 at the Las Vegas Hilton. I'm guessing that some Paramount bean counter balked at sending all those expensive sets to landfill when TNG ended, and thus was born the idea of trucking all that stuff through the desert to Las Vegas, and reassembling it all into an "attraction".
I went there once, and thought it was fun. It comes to mind now because the most eerily realistic part of it was walking along the circular corridor outside the bridge in the saucer section, with uniformed crewman walking the other way. The set, the lighting, the extras, the almost-subliminal foley of engine noise and life support, all made the experience feel real, for just a few seconds.
The physical experience is no longer available, but it'd be way cool if this 3D simulator can bring the virtual experience to more people.
