Naturally the bay area is in an uproar over Richardsons statements at a Democrat gay/lesbian forum.

Richardson's 'Choice'

I find this one hysterical too.

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson stunned many with his response to a question from rock singer Melissa Etheridge — one of three panelists questioning the candidates — about whether he thinks “homosexuality is a choice or is it biological.”

“It’s a choice,” said Richardson, who has a strong record of support for equal rights for gays but who has been tripped up in recent months over comments that seem to lack a deep understanding of the community.

That lack of deep understanding is in not providing the gay/lesbian community with their built-in escape mechanism of a biological justification for their sexual activity choices.

How could he? At least Hillary and Obama gave the usual two-faced lip service to gay/lesbian rights under Melissa Etheridge's imitation of a gay version of the Holy See. Obama naturally turned the issue to race.

The built-in ME ME ME crowd, with their demands for special treatment and the desire to be just a little MORE equal than everyone else are rather nauseating to watch. How many other special interest groups get to cross-examine candidates, and media coverage, as to how they will further their personal agenda?

Sadly, Richardson's moment of truthfulness, perhaps the only in the whole gig, will only be used against him. Such is justice in the world of the self absorbed, perpetually indignant gay/lesbian Democrat community.
