It does mean you've probably been around the block a good number of times and probably don't wear a cross around your neck.
Everything is frequency relationship. There are very few strangers in one's life.
Ask ER - we were chained to an oar for weeks on the open sea, under a biting lash and now he loves the sea - and is putting as positive a bias on the sea as possible to balance his previous utter hatred of it.
