We're lucky we still have Marxists to blame our troubles on.
We don't live in a world of Marxist enemies. We live in a world of enemies, some of which happen to be Marxists. Or are they all closet Marxists and we're the only true blue island of capitalism left in the world?
Even our friends are ready to cut our throats in our heartbeat if it's to their advantage. The world is a highly competitive environment, always has been, and it's probably getting worse. The obsession with Marxism as the source of all our problems just distracts us. This does not mean we need to become Marxists, or ignore them, it means we need to remind ourselves that that some of our worst enemies are completely anti-Marxist, like OBL.
In a completely capitalist world, we, as the leading capitalist state, would be the undisputed leader and prime mover. THAT is what our enemies, capitalist and Marxist and everything in between, fear. Think about it, put yourself in their place, would you like to live on a planet economically and culturally dominated by a benign, capitalist, play-by-all-the-rules, gentlemanly and peaceful and extremely prosperous China?
Read your history, Marxism vs capitalism is just the latest variation on Catholic vs Protestant, Christian vs Muslim, Roman vs Orthodox. It's not the cause of our conflicts, it's the result of them.
