G-earth tips:

For screen capture, use alt-print screen and paste from clipboard into an image program, save as jpg, and upload to an image hosting site. There are other ways to provide information via the Google Earth Community websites.

For 3D views, make sure the terrain button is turned on. Use the tilt slider to change the angle of viewing.

I've added some notes to this screen shot of the Grand Canyon:
