Rationality be damned

Just being provocative, but more to the point I really wonder how much history can be gleaned from what remains after 13 millennia? Speculation will fill the void where evidence can't guide us - look at my post below, for example. There's an awful lot of history that's been erased by the flooding of the continental shelves at the end of the last Glaciation. We really only have a few hints of what Neolithic civilization might've been - if we can call it that.
