Pretty scary

Hi EP

That presentation has been coming for a long time. People have been pondering the Carolina Bays and similar Holocene impact signs for years, but no one managed to get all the data together to make a strong enough case.

Andrew Collins is an esoteric writer who actually researches the data - goes and looks, actually reads archeological reports and so forth - and his book on "Atlantis" was my first introduction to the evidence of the Carolina Bays for a massive spray of airbursts across the northern Americas. He also makes the most rational reconstruction of the origin of the "Atlantis" legend I've ever read - that Phoenician traders brought stories from the Caribbean First Peoples about the Catastrophe, which Plato built on to create his "anti-Utopia". Seemingly by chance, his dating - c. 9,500 BC - is not far off the actual event itself. Also the similarities between the Solutrean and the Clovis cultures suggests that the "Atlanteans" were paleo-European in origin, not Siberian/Ainu like the rest of the First Peoples of America, again fitting Plato's account.

But that's not acceptable evidence for such an event to be taken seriously - 2,400 year dialogues based on old Greek retellings of Phoenician sailors' stories. Real evidence has finally come along to shake up our complacency about the heavens.

Have you read Clube & Napier's two books on comets and impacts in human prehistory - "The Cosmic Serpent" and "The Cosmic Winter"? What did you think? Their "Coherent Catastrophism" makes sense of all the worthwhile Velikovskyan mythological data, but use real physics and processes instead of imaginary "physics" like Velikovsky did. The new findings support the Clube/Napier case for a major Holocene cometary intrusion, enough to make the Zodiacal dust cloud visible close to sunset/sunrise, and for substantial short-period comets to be visible to the naked eye for an extended period. All the Copper Age observatories were built to predict the next "death shower" of Tunguska-class impactors, giving rise to "Phaeton" and "dragon" legends world-wide.
