What they hope to gain from it I haven't got a clue. For months now I've heard officers and enlisted men detail how things are improving in Iraq. The NYT has never ran an op-ed piece by any of them, but when some NCOs come forward and tell a bleak story, they eagerly jump on it and post it. Why is that?

I'm not questioning the word of these men; I'm sure they've seen some bad things. I'm questioning the NYT and why they only seem to print stories to undermine moral at home and among our troops.
