Naw, not worried to much, but he seems to be. He's a feral cat, born under a tree, and didn't come inside until he was almost a year old. Even now, he doesn't like to be inside. If there is a bear in the 'hood (which there have been, saw one out the back door couple o' years back) then I'm surprised it hasn't gone for the goldfish. Probably 20,000 calories swimming around in there. Fortunately, there are lots of lily pads and plants, so only about 10% of the surface of the pond is open water.
There were some big tracks in the ground cover this morning, and the remains of a magpie. The feather pile is probably the cats doing (did he seem smug this morning?) but if so, it was the first magpie he's caught. They taunt him endlessly. Plus there is a scat pile out back full of berry seeds that seems a little big for coon.
I'm going to have to set up the wireless camera and set it for motion detection.
