That would be me.

I said not long ago that Space exploration should not be a big priority over things like health care, etc.

Last night on PBS I heard an interview in which a NASA official said that they got about $17 billion a year, and had about $34 billion in requests. That surprised me. With a budget like that I would not have thought they'd spend $250 million on something like the John Glenn joyride.

And, I think $17 billion is less than we should be spending, that given what the war in Iraq costs I would think we could profitably spend 40 to 50 billion dollars. IF the rest of the money spent on Iraq is spent on things like health care for American citizens.

A rider to this. I'm coming to think any more spent on the Shuttle or ISS is a waste, except for launching and/or repairing a space telescope. I would probably not get upset if it were de-orbited into an Iranian nuclear site, even though I think the Iranians deserve to have nuclear power if they wish.

However, Marcia has a love-hate relationship with me, sans love. Personally, I think it's a shame she wastes time in her pretty little head on me.

(Sometimes I think I'm funny!)
