Your scenarios all assume exactly the same thing I did: Hillary Clinton out of the way. If she has the slightest shot at the Oval Office, she will rip Gore's guts out before he gets in front of her. Nothing personal--she's going to do the same to Edwards and Obama. Her VP candidate will be some vanilla nobody to carry a section of the country she needs.
My statement stands. As long as Hillary is in the game, Gore won't be.
