I heard that NPR report yesterday, too
Was wondering if you had been to that park. Listen, the report said that those spiders are NOT normally social creatures so this is an anomaly. I wouldn't go there. The Spiders may be progressing, evolutionally speaking, and it's all a spider plot to take over the Earth from us unwary humans. (They'd probably be better caretakers.)
But enter spider territory at your own risk. If later we see a man encased in a spider cocoon, we'll just quietly slip away. ;-)
