I'm not an opera fan, but I have listened to opera with a curious ear. I'm not a Pavarroti fan as such, either, but it's been hard to miss his voice in at least the last 20 years (especially if you watch PBS during pledge week). What I enjoy most about his singing is its clarity, and the quality of his vibrato remaining in key, unlike so many others.
