Believe me

I'm no proponent of the administrations of either of those two countries but the cold fact is that countries are not their leaders just like I hope our country is not GWB. This whole attitude of completely isolating an entire nation of diverse individuals because there's atrocities being committed in their name, simply isn't working well.

Iran's leader is a despicable guy just like I'm sure the leaders of Syria are corrupt and nasty people as well but we can't play this game in international politics of just taking our football and going home when someone on the other side disses our grandmother. The other side will play your lack of engagement to their own advantage with lethal consequences.

Now whether Kucinich stepped over the line in what he did, I haven't a clue but I'm not willing to dismiss the man entirely for one act. There happens to be a very honest side to the man and he seems to have compassion for America and its Constitution. One of the reasons he'll never be elected president is because he continually bucks the establishment including his own party. I don't agree with everything he stands for but you get the impression that he hasn't an ounce of deception or bad intentions in any of his positions. That's hardly traitorous and I will always object to that type of labeling.
