Meteorological records.
Try this:
Make a plot of the record high and record low temperatures over a year timespan for your city. You may find that the line is very saw-toothed. Where I live there was sometimes a difference in record temperatures of up to 5 -10 deg. Celsius from one day to the next. I've come to the conclusion that if there are a string of record temperatures set, it means absolutely nothing. In fact, all it requires is normal weather systems to be out of phase by a couple of days, and voila, record temperatures are set. Global warming is a crock! I think global warming has already happened. It's just that it's taking a few thousand years for all the ice to melt.
