Chavez is not only younger than the has-been from Cuba,
but Mr. Chavez has expressed his desire to obain nuclear weapons.
And he has close ties with Iran and North Korea, and thier missile
factories....
At least Castro agreed to remove and keep long-range ballistic
missiles from his island after 1962; Mr. Chavez has offered no such
assurance regarding his country.
America wouldn't hesitate to nuke Venezualan military sites
if Chavez were to 'sabre-rattle' any nukes and long-range missiles
in his possession in coming years.
BUT!...Suppose Chavez decides to draw America into a conventional war against his
country? Perhaps in response to invading the nearby Dutch island of Aruba?
Venezuala has triple-canopy jungle that' could give Vietnam's version a run for
its money...
Would American's tolerate its government carrying out a lengthy insurgent war
in the jungles of Venuzuala?
