Nah, the receiver is fine
Darn thing started working today again. There's a little metal strip in there that might have gotten out of position a bit. So I went to Sears but didn't buy one since mine is now working. Thought about buying one anyway and may still do so. You have to climb a ladder and push a button the unit that hangs from the roof of the garage and press the button your remote at the same time and that synchronizes them. I can't climb ladders. Not with my knees and my balance. But one of these days maybe I can get a visiting friend to do it for me and then I'll have a backup.
