All last month the Left was accusing Petraeus of lying about the casualty figures, and on every leftist source on the Net you could find people hashing the numbers to "prove" the casualties weren't coming down and that the whole thing was a ruse.

Now the numbers are glaringly obvious, and no amount of statistical massaging is going to help this time.

I've been watching the trend all month, including two weeks of the prime Ramadan attack season, but wasn't saying much about it. Frankly, I would need to see at least another month or two of lower casualties to say there is any certain trend.

Last month's leftist crap has been exposed for the crap it always was, and the "Betray-us" Democrats in Washington have egg on their faces, big time. How they respond will be educational.

You can bet they will be praying for a disaster in Iraq all through October.
