It gets more and more frustrating to read posts here from rightists who operate from bumper stickers, Limbaugh's talking points and anecdotal blogs. Not even headlines, as those are grim. After bad news there's a wait for them until the "big boys" publish the spin. They have not read the histories, and they can't.
Let's leave aside the idea of something written by Bob Woodward or personal memoirs being considered a "history." Just shows how low the bar is nowadays.
Far from getting my information from "bumper stickers," I routinely respond to you and others here using actual data, documentation, original sources, and other hard facts. I reference blogs rarely, and then usually for opinion pieces, or if the blogger has saved me trouble by assembling links to other sources that I would otherwise have to set up here.
Most of what you post are news stories from MSNBC, and on the odd day, the BBC. Neither have any more of a reputation for objectivity than Fox News does (try and find the last Fox News link I've posted). If you have ever tracked any of these stories back to original information, or used the leads to check something out on your own, I don't remember it. Some of the time it's fairly obvious you never even finished the article you link to. So if someone is going to be smug about sourcing, it probably should be someone other than you.
My "talking points" are my own, and always have been. An observant person might note that my analyses often precede things showing up on Limbaugh or other supposed universal sources for conservative ideas.

Now that's funny.
