Republican Debate

Anybody watch? Dayam, I was about ready to change over from Democrat. They really went after Hilary but John McCain is a class act. He drew one helluva laugh when he was talking about the proposal to make some kind of memorial to Woodstock. He said he wasn't around during that time but was rather "tied up" elsewhere. Good one!

I'm rather impressed with Ron Paul. I've read about him and, listening to him, I'm still impressed. I like what he says. Of course, he doesn't have a chance in hell of getting the nomination but I'm telling you, I'd consider voting for him and I've been voting straight Dem for quite a few years now.

They were playing to an obviously Republican crowd. It's interesting that the Republicans are still scared of letting non-supporters into their events. I have no respect for that kind of chicken-crap cowardice.

The one who was a doctor did a good piece on health care. He talks fast and was very convincing. Thompson was ho hum. Guiliani got nailed a time or two. I think he's going to lose ground. He's not quite as good at debate. I used to kind of like Romney but I'm edging away from liking him. I think he's not as honest as he'd like us to believe. Frankly, I think his little spiel about Hilary not having run anything is a load of crap to try to put the focus on negative instead of trying to talk about his own positives. I'm suspicious of anyone who focuses on pulling down an opponent instead of beating his own drum which is what they should be doing so we know their beliefs, their policy proposals. That's why John McCain is a class act.

Had to leave before the last 1/2 hour but I found it educational. I'm still voting Democrat, though, unless the Republicans finally become Republicans again and nominate Paul.
