Art,
I have never done more research on a presidential in all my life as I have for Ron Paul. His ideal America would be one that elected federal officials who followed its constitution (the one that they swear to uphold and defend when they take office). You're right, the document may be considered sparse, because it was not meant to contain anything outside its scope. How you educate your child, take care of the homeless guy in your town or ensure that your states' children all have healthcare is left to the states to manage. The more personal the issue, the more local the jurisdiction should be. Don't be afraid to take responsibility and figure these issues out for yourself. Please don't expect the federal government to take care of your local problems. And trust me, when you break it down, almost all domestic issues are local problems with local answers.
Peace,
Donovan
