Recovering Vanguard 1 ?
I was reading a previous post on HZ about space junk being archaeological objects. It
was stated that Vanguard 1 is the oldest spacecraft in orbit. It is now an archaeological artifact.
I was thinking that when they start testing the new Orion spacecraft why don't
they use an early test flight to go up and get vanguard and bring it home. It
would be a doable goal that tests the ships deep space capabilities, and
rendezvous techniques.
