I just went to the used book place yesterday. It's an adjunct to a medium-sized library, and supported by a wealthy community, so it has donated books, often current, as well as those taken out of circulation by the library. Paperbacks are $0.50, hardbound $1, $1.50 and $2.00. I came out of there with eight books for $9.50.
Trotted over to the library and checked out (coincidentally) 8 audio books, which I cheerfully ripped while watching "Frontline". Am very pleased with being "booked up".
And along comes you. So, I've ordered that one from Amazon, and praying for a hellacious snowstorm so I could just sit inside by the fire and read for a while. Have enough food for pooch and me for 3 weeks or a month without rationing, lots of gas for the generator, a pump to drain the car if need be, and a cell phone which acts as a modem. Ma Bowser is recently deceased so I don't have her to worry about. Would be absolutely delightful, a wonderful fantasy. And about the only way I'm going to manage to get 'em all read.
Thanks for the suggestion.

For me personally that's rotten timing.
