I missed your thread on community but I want to say I am gratified that your test came out clean.

I had a colonoscopy about a year ago and they removed 8 pre-cancerous polyps, so I am scheduled for another colonoscopy next year. I am not sure what pre-cancerous implies (certainty or probability) but having known some folks that died from colon cancer I'm glad they found them and got rid of them.

I also had a close friend that had the same surgery that you had except they took more of his colon, as I recall. He also had the reattachment procedure a year or so later.

It has been over ten years and he has had no reoccurance of the cancer.
