I think the real lesson is if you are involved in terrorist activity [and/or have a name like Arar who is visiting a state which is classified by America govt as a state that sponsors terrorism] and you are a citizen of Canada. Don't take a plane flight that first lands on US soil. {Pay the extra money for the non-stop to Montreal or wherever}.
