re: It's a pressure suit, not a spacesuit, is it not?

It looks a lot like an older soviet pressure suit with a new covering and helmet. Look at the glove, glove to sleeve connection and the neckring used. I wouldn't call it stylish or an advancement in design.

Most of the pictures I've seen of it are unpressurized the one with him kneeing says volumes about it's design. Even with a hose attached and "pressurized" he can knee like he has no pressure in the bottom half of the suit! I'm pretty sure it's not a bifurcated suit so they are using lower than safe pressures (in a vacuum) in the suit so far.

It's no spacesuit and maybe not a usable pressure suit.

They are still prototyping which is probably a good thing. I wish them luck. BTW, New Scientist has an article on various deaths and one is rapid decompression...it's worth reading: <a href= w.newscientist.com/channel/being-human/mg19626252.800-death-special-how-does-it-feel-to-die.html"http://www.newscientist.com/channel/being-human/mg19626252.800-death-special-how-does-it-feel-to-die.html
