re: minimal pressure

I don't know if I mentioned this here before but I think the spacecraft passenger suit is a direct equivalent of the passenger service unit's yellow oxygen mask. With that you get about 15 minutes. Depending on when you started the system and how many people are using it. An airlines pilot get a full face mask with a lot more time on it. I'm sure this makes you all relax now.

A suborbital pilot will need about as much upper torso mobility as possible with pretty good gloves some lower torso mobility would be good as well. Depending on what is required of passengers some mobility might be desirable to get them quickly back in their acceleration couches. You also may need them to leave the craft quick when on the ground and being in a bag could slow that down a bit.

I gather form the press and friends who attended the X-Prize Cup this year some folks were not impressed by the suit. Within hearing of one friend a person called it "Gort" the robot and an other said it would make them look fat! So you need a skinny looking pressure suit as well...not an easy task!
