That the more intelligent someone is, the more difficult they will be to live with. Intelligence analyzes things to death and some things do not need analysis; they just need to be felt and move on. There is a certain amount of arrogance in both males and females of high intellect, the "I know best" syndrome. My sister was a genius and the year I spent living with her was a bitch. I'm only a couple of points under that level and she didn't find me that pleasant to live with, either.
We had most of our beliefs in common, including spirituality (not religion-we were both anti-organized religion) and psychic phenomena. I knew she was psychic, had proof of it many times over and I am too, although not to her degree. I have had telepathic happenings. I could send my sis a message that way and she would receive it. But I digress.
Having beliefs in common does not mean you can live with each other. There are too many other levels to relationships. You learn what you need to learn and move on. It's too bad the marriage left such a bad taste for them. Maybe one of them fooled around on the other. That would be the unforgivable in a lot of marriages. Or other things. Maybe he picked his nose. You get my drift.
