I always enjoyed Gordie's music. I saw him live once, in Vancouver. It was the night after the Grey Cup game (Canada's equivalent - sort of - of the SuperBowl) and he was drunk as a skunk, he needed the microphone stand to hang on to, but when he started playing and siniging, he was electric, and perfectly on-key and on track - very moving.
