I grew up on the Great Lakes
10 miles from Chippewa on the Niagara River. I lived barely two miles from Niagara Falls, and spent my summer up on the Great Lakes from Crystal Beach to Wassauga Beach. I camped and picked blueberies all through the Canadain Shield and during those later years, drove around with Gord Lightfoots 8 track playing on the car radio.
That area spawns a lot of musicians and writers who capture the essence of that part of the country. And Lightfoots' song comes along and takes us along for the ride.
