Suppose there was someone who came on this forum espousing that the Sun and planets
orbited Earth (and there are a few cases out there who not only believe this, but that our
planet is flat as well). Do we let them go on and on, even though science has proven it
to be otherwise for centuries now?
Even more than spouting ignoraince, what about free speech that could really harm someone?
That skinhead you mention wasn't exactly a member of the Rotary Club, but a group that
would easily destroy another group that has been used as a scapegoat for ages.
I respect an informed view. If someone wants to proclaim their belief in a supernatural
deity, that is their choice. But I also will not lay down and cave in to viewpoints I know
are not right. Tolerance can only go so far before everyone and everything is accepted
and then the new Dark Ages really do come in. There have to be some standards.
But how far does one go with so-called "free speech"?
