Not quite related.
A friend of mine just purchased a 52" HDTV and associated equipment including DVD player.
He says the "normal" DVDs played on the system are 80% of the HD quality, much better than on regular TV sets.
It makes sense that a picture which is just fine on a smaller set would appear seriously degraded on a much larger screen.
And I watched a football game on the outfit, it was really sweet. Worth every cent of his money. Not worth mine yet.
