Imagine driving home from work. You always arrive at home.
But how much of the time were you actually aimed at your home?
That, I think, is life. We can have goals, and very little of the time are we headed straight for them. And life is in the detours. Adventure is in the detours, the blocks, the parts of life which are between us and the goals.
Sort of like walking to 10th St. and 10th Ave. Hopefully there will be a nice coffee shop with interesting conversations to overhear on one of the corners.
