I whole heartedly echo your sentiments and will add that:

I am somewhat pissed off that the answer to Jody was moved to flame, it has no flaming material in it.

As far as the abuse from this idiot RL, well that is another matter.
There are various ways to understand the infantile mentality of such a troglodyte, he can not tolerate anything that is beyond his limited understanding.
He insists that his mathematics is the end all to everything about the atmospheric sciences, yet he does not understand how the atmosphere behaves.
What I have been trying to point out here at HZ is that there is a lot of things we still need to know about the way the Earth’s atmosphere behaves.

Recently there was some interesting atmospheric behaviour discovered due to the use GPS systems.
You can see the information at the following web site.

Naturally one can look at the numbers and say that the quantities of ions are so small that any real effect on the lower atmosphere from such activity is lost in the noise of other effects.
But such an observation does not preclude that all study of the phenomenon should stop or that the people wanting to know more about such phenomenon are …….(what ever RL has called me.)

I simply dismiss RL’s rants as CANT ;-)

We must love one another, yes, yes, that’s all true enough, but nothing says we have to like each other. It may be the very recognition of all men as our brothers that accounts for the sibling rivalry, and even enmity, we have toward so many of them.
