It's not FireFox's fault.
Different browsers read HTML somewhat "differently".
IE is the most used browser on the Internet. Web developers will make sure their code works on IE. It's up to the developer whether or not he wants to take the extra time and effort to get their pages to work on Mozilla, Opera etc.
