I think we'd all be depressed at how many people would sell their freedom for some goodies. I already pointed out in another post what college students would be willing to sell their right to vote for. An Ipod in some cases.
As for the Indians, I figure they've got a certain amount of karmic payback coming to them, and nobody's forcing the palefaces to go blow their paychecks.
